I will and I do's
I think my everyday job is ok and it makes pretty good money. My hours are good and I’m guaranteed lots of overtime, but I ask myself is this what I want to do for the rest of my life? Is this what I went to school for? Do I want to spend more time at work than my wife? The answer is no, no, and no. Once in awhile I get people from MySpace asking me to take their picture. Some are serious and understand the art of photography and are willing to pay even if I don’t ask for it. Then you get these other people (mostly girls) who are hot as hell and ask if they could get their picture taken. I then set them up with a schedule date, but never show up on shooting day. Then I ask myself again, what the heck am I doing? At first I thought hot girls are what were going to get me on top and bring in the extra cha-ching that I needed. Well guess what, I was wrong and I was hitting the wrong target market. My wife and I sat down and thought about it. A few months ago people would ask me, do you do wedding sessions or family sessions? Either, I would answer sorry I would never do weddings and was too intimidated to do family sessions. But after looking at how much people charge around here, we thought about it again. Since then I have done three family sessions and have gotten three requests for future weddings. I realized then we have found our niche, but now I need to expand on it. That meant saving more money and a new fresh website with all of my information and prices. Maybe someday this would be my full time job, who knows. I guess if you really want to do something in life, you just have to make some changes in your life. Be more productive, do research, be organized, make sacrifices, have faith in the Lord and have lots of family and friends to support you. You can be whatever you want.

I like your attitude Jeff. Stay motivated, goal oriented, and have faith in the Lord. I wish you all the best with your business. Hey...I may be a future client for a family session. =0) M.Salinas
