Nate's Senior Session

This was my first senior session of the year. I wish I had advertised myself for senior sessions a little earlier this year, because working with these teens are very easy. They love to show-boat in front of the camera. They are very relax, confident, and natural. Nate, showed exactly how to model in front of camera. He was a natural and I believe he was probably the easiest client I have ever worked with. Here are just a few from yesterday's session.

A Day Under the Sun

It was my day off yesterday and when I say day off, I mean no work and no photography work. So the wifey and I decided to visit Avila Beach since today was farmers market and also because the weather has been so nice to us lately. It was a beautiful day, eating lots of food and spending time with the wifey. I haven't had a free day for a long time and it felt so good to get out and just have a relaxing time. I also discovered the best fish taco that I have ever eaten in my life. I highly recommend it because it was total grub!

Michelle + Shelden Wedding Video

As promised, I finally finished Michelle's + Shelden's wedding video. A couple blogs back I previewed some pictures of Michelle + Sheldens wedding which I did only for practice. But my main job was to video capture the wedding for them. Again, this was my first time capturing a wedding and then my first time actually editing one. I'm actually quite proud of what I accomplished. In fact, I may have to practice a little more because you never know when someone will ask me if I can capture their wedding. However, I don't plan on adding it to my wedding package just yet, haha. I didn't have the best camera in the world, but it was enough to capture some memories that they can always look back too.

Opening Day & SUSHI!!!!

After a whole 2 months of working on my website Kuya Jep Photography, it is finally finished. There are still a few minor adjustments here and there, but good enough to go live. These last few months have been so busy for me working an average of 52-56 hours a week with my real job along with Marsha's wedding, Michelle's wedding and a few senior sessions coming up in the next few weeks. I hope I can cut down my hours at work and focus more on my photography. I'm quite proud of how the website came out. Again, thanks to my beautiful wife for supporting and helping me build it. After making my website live we decided to celebrate it by having sushi from Sushi Teriyaki. It was nice to take a break and eat some delicious grub for a change. Now take a minute or two and check out my website. You can even leave a comment on the contact page if you like. Enjoy!

Pick-a-face

So I'm about to wrap up my website, but first I need help deciding what photos I should put on my "About Me" section. I wanted the world to see who the real me is, so most of the choices are real goofy ones. I guess I could be serious most of the time, but people that really know me knows that I'm a dork and just loves to have a good time. So I was wondering if you guys can give me a little help by choosing four pictures that you think would look great for my website. Here they are...

Marsha & Kurt's I Do

Wow! What a first time experience! This was my first wedding session I have ever done. And let me tell you, that is one exhausting experience. I learned so much from this wedding. Like for instance, make sure you stretch and get plenty of sleep the night before. Another thing I learned was that lighting could be different everywhere you go and Santa Maria Inn was by far the hardest lighting I ever had to deal with. Anyways, enough with the complaining and let me say this was overall a fun group of people I’ve worked with. I’ve known Marsha and her kids for a while now and they made my life so much easier. They were always fun and natural around the camera. When Marsha first asked me to do their wedding, I did not hesitate because I knew she would be easy to work with. She was very organized and was always available when I needed her. I know Kurt will take good care of her and I can tell that they will have a bright future ahead of them. Also, thanks again to my lovely wife for making my life even easier. Below are my favorite shots of the day.

Viva Las Vegas!

Have you ever toured the whole world in 3 days? Well, guess what? We did, but only in Vegas! My wife and I decided to take some time off and visit Las Vegas this past weekend and let me tell you, we had a blast. This was my wife's first time visiting the Sin City and she loved it. In my case, I’ve been there plenty of times, but to always party during my bachelor days. I never really explored Vegas other than partying and it was a great experience for me as well. We pretty much covered the whole strip. We went to almost every hotel. We rode the roller coaster on New York, New York and went up the Eiffel Tower. We got up and close with real human preserved bodies at the Bodies museum. Our first night we got full doing buffet at Rio. We even had time to go to Hoover Dam. Instead of watching any shows,we decided to save our money to do other activities within the strip. It was definitely worthwhile. We had a great time together and with close friends. I look forward to coming back here again in the near future. Maybe my birthday? Who wants to go? Below are some of my favorite shots of the trip. One piece of advise, wear comfy shoes.
